We came here because it is, surprisingly, one of the few places in downtown Glenwood Springs with outdoor seating. The atmosphere outdoors was just the cozy, relaxing setting we were looking for! Sacred Grounds has way more than coffee; their menu is huge with plenty of comfort food options! That said, the portions were smaller than I'd hoped, and the food not as fresh as I'd expected. If you're looking for basic, no-frills food, then this is your place--but don't expect anything amazing. Atmosphere & service: 4/5; taste & portions: 3/5.

I tend to try and write only positive reviews, and I am also very disappointed in this cafe. I tried to do my work in the cafe over an almond milk latte. The latte (after a generous tip) was nearly $7.00. Fine. I appreciate a good latte, and happily paid for it. I am not picky, and cut people slack and leniency as a matter of course. I would have given this cafe 5 stars if they had gotten the two things right that I came for: coffee and service. An older woman dropped my coffee off at my table after 5 minutes or so. I thanked her, and she walked away without even acknowledging me. I thought that she may have been hard of hearing, but she spoke cheerfully with one of the regulars. Fine. I will settle for a $7.00 latte. Nope. No foam. Hardly any coffee taste. More like a cup of warm milk. The barista claimed that she just wasn't able to make "this kind of almond milk" foam. It was the fault of the almond milk. This is part of why I am writing this review. I know that you bought that brand at Costco. I know that it foams easily. I make lattes at my house, with my espresso machine. Own your stuff. Respect your customers, even in a "tourist town". Trust me, I was here long before you were.

Cool environment bad soup and salad. Salad dressing was old and the soup was not cooked well it was mostly water. Got chicken tortilla and it was basically chicken noodle without noodles and so bland.

My girlfriend and I are both vegetarian. We ordered a salad and a panini. The food was bland and had an awful taste. Truly feels like a tourist trap with no regard for quality. Just go anywhere else. $27 for salad / panini / coffee.
